The Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies teaches the MA in conjunction with the John Rylands Research Institute and Library.

Undergraduate courses

It is possible to study undergraduate courses in medieval and early modern studies in the School of Arts, Languages, and Cultures.

These are taught chiefly in the subject areas of History, English, and Art History.

Typical level 2 courses, available in many years, are:

  • Chaucer: Texts, Contexts, Conflicts (English ENGL20231)
  • Renaissance and Discovery (Art History AHVS20202)
  • Catastrophe to Crusade: Europe in the Aftermath of the Vikings (History HIST21141)

More specialist courses are also taught at level 3.
